Polyphony:
Synthetic paper, Polymer paint and metal leaf
Inspired by polyphony—multiple voices woven into a single harmony—this body of work brings together variations of surface, color, and layered assemblage to form an integrated visual whole. Golden metallic leaf, long associated with Byzantine art and the illuminated icons of the Middle Ages, becomes the glowing foundation beneath acrylic gestures and collaged Yupo.
Here, the divine and the contemporary exist not in contrast but in seamless union. The shimmer of sacred tradition and the immediacy of present-day materials inhabit the same breath. My intention is to shape paintings that reflect this oneness, allowing beauty and mystery to rise from their shared field of light.
